Τhe Mediterranean Diet is a diet of poverty. People didn’t eat that way because they chose to. There was no other way that they could eat. And as soon as they began to have some money in their pockets, they would go into a butcher on Saturday and buy kilos and kilos of meat. You couldn’t imagine how many people they were planning to feed with that amount of meat!
The main problem in the West are problems of excess and all the health problems that come with having too many choices and too much to eat and too much junk food.
